Shop terms

Updated · 6 November 2026

This English version explains the shop terms. Contracts are concluded in Polish. The products, amounts and currencies shown in the accepted order summary form part of the contract. Statutory consumer rights are preserved.

  1. These terms govern the seller’s sale of goods, supply of digital content and provision of electronic services.
  2. A customer is a natural person, legal entity or organisational unit with legal capacity using the shop. A consumer is a natural person entering into a transaction not directly related to their business or professional activity.
  3. Consumer protection provisions also apply, to the extent specified in Article 7aa of the Polish Consumer Rights Act, to an individual concluding a contract directly related to their business where it is not of a professional nature for that person, in particular as indicated by their business activity registered in CEIDG.
  4. “Goods” means a physical product, particularly a printed publication. An e-book is digital content supplied without a physical medium. “Product” means goods, an e-book or a workshop offered by the shop. FORM ZERO ACADEMY workshops are additionally governed by their workshop terms.
  5. Contracts are concluded in Polish. These terms are provided free of charge before conclusion of the contract in a form that can be saved and printed.

§ 2. Using the shop and customer accounts

  1. Using the shop requires an internet-connected device, an up-to-date browser supporting JavaScript and essential cookies, and an active email address. E-book reading requirements are set out in § 6 and on the product page.
  2. The seller provides the customer account and order form services free of charge. Books, printed publications and FORM ZERO ACADEMY workshops can be purchased without an account. The additional workshop terms apply to Academy purchases. You can stop using the order form before submission by leaving the page.
  3. Registration requires a name, email address, password and acceptance of these terms. An account agreement is concluded when the account is created, for an indefinite period. The seller emails a verification link. Email verification is required before purchasing through the account.
  4. The account provides a view of its assigned orders and access to purchased digital content. Customers sign in with their email address and password. The password can be changed in the account or access restored using an emailed link.
  5. The customer may terminate the account agreement immediately and free of charge at any time by emailing the seller. Deleting the account does not cancel existing sales contracts, complaint rights or the right to use downloaded e-books. Contact the seller about access to purchased files after account deletion.
  6. Customers must supply the information necessary to fulfil orders and protect their sign-in details against unauthorised access. Supplying unlawful content, infringing others’ rights and disrupting the shop are prohibited. Complaints about electronic services may be submitted under § 8.

§ 3. Ordering and conclusion of the contract

  1. Each product page states the description, edition, price and availability. A forthcoming product cannot be ordered unless purchasing is enabled on its page.
  2. The customer selects products, adds them to the cart, chooses quantities, provides recipient details and chooses an available delivery method. Parcel-locker delivery requires selection of a specific locker. Invoice details are entered in the designated form section.
  3. Before submitting an order, the customer can correct details, change the cart and review the full amount payable. Acceptance of the terms is required. E-book delivery before the withdrawal period expires requires the additional statement described in § 7.
  4. By pressing “Order and pay”, the customer places an order with an obligation to pay. The contract is concluded when the order is successfully saved in the shop’s system, confirmed by display of the order page and its number. Adding a product to the cart alone does not create a contract.
  5. The seller emails confirmation of the contract, the products ordered, prices, delivery costs, contractual terms and statements given. Customers with an account can also review the assigned order after signing in.

§ 4. Prices and payment

  1. Prices use the currency displayed by the storefront: Polish złoty (PLN) or US dollars (USD). They include applicable taxes and exclude charged delivery unless the offer expressly states otherwise. English-storefront FORM ZERO ACADEMY workshops are priced and charged in USD; books and printed publications remain in PLN. Items in different currencies must be purchased in separate orders. The final order summary clearly states the amount and currency payable.
  2. Current delivery methods and charges are on the Payment and delivery page. The total, including products and selected delivery, is shown before the order is submitted.
  3. The prices and charges accepted when placing an order apply to that contract. Later price changes do not alter it.
  4. Payment is made in advance through Przelewy24, operated by PayPro S.A., ul. Pastelowa 8, 60-198 Poznań, Poland; KRS 0000347935, NIP 7792369887, REGON 301345068. Available payment methods are shown in the order form and payment gateway. Payment authentication details are provided to the payment operator.
  5. Fulfilment begins after payment is confirmed. Interrupting payment or returning from the gateway does not constitute confirmation. The payment operator specifies transaction expiry. Contact the seller to request cancellation of an unpaid order.

§ 5. Delivery of physical goods

  1. Physical goods are delivered within Poland using the method selected from those available in the order form.
  2. The dispatch period is stated on the product page and before ordering, and runs from payment confirmation. Allow additional estimated transit time as described under Payment and delivery. Delivery terms accepted at purchase apply to that order.
  3. In the event of delay, the customer retains statutory rights, including setting an additional deadline and withdrawing under the statutory conditions.
  4. The risk of accidental loss or damage passes to a consumer when goods are handed to them or their designated person other than the carrier. This applies to carriers offered by the seller.

§ 6. Supply and use of e-books

  1. E-books are supplied electronically after payment confirmation and dispatch of the contract confirmation, no later than 24 hours after payment is confirmed. The seller emails a link providing access to the purchased files.
  2. Delivery occurs when the content or a working means to access and download it is made available. The purchase includes the file formats stated on the product page.
  3. File formats are listed on each product page. Downloading requires internet access, an up-to-date browser, an email address and enough storage. EPUB requires a compatible EPUB application; layout and text resizing depend on the edition, and fixed-layout editions are identified on the product page. PDF requires a PDF reader and retains a fixed page layout; zooming may be necessary on small screens. Compatibility with every device is not guaranteed. Downloaded files can be read offline.
  4. The order link in the email is valid for 90 days from generation. From the order page, you can generate download links for both formats again. Each download link lasts 15 minutes and allows up to 10 downloads; you can generate another after it expires. If emailed access expires, sign in to the account linked to the purchase or contact info@czytivo.pl to restore access after purchase verification. Link expiry does not limit use of files already downloaded. Access is restricted to the paid order. Do not share links with other people.
  5. The purchase permits personal use of the e-book with no time limit on reading the downloaded file. It does not transfer copyright or permit unlawful distribution or resale of files. This does not restrict permitted use under applicable law.
  6. If digital content is not supplied, the customer may request delivery. A consumer may withdraw if delivery does not occur without undue delay or within an additional expressly agreed period. No further request is needed if the seller refuses, circumstances show that delivery will not take place, or an agreed delivery date was essential to the consumer and was missed.

§ 7. Withdrawal from the contract

  1. A consumer may withdraw from a distance contract without giving a reason within 14 days. For goods, the period begins when the consumer or their designated person other than the carrier takes possession; where goods are delivered separately, it begins upon receipt of the last item. For digital content and the account service, it begins when the contract is concluded, subject to the e-book rules below.
  2. Sending an unambiguous withdrawal statement before the deadline to the seller’s postal or email address in § 1 is sufficient. The sample withdrawal form is optional. The seller confirms receipt of an electronic statement by email.
  3. Return goods to the address in § 1 within 14 days of withdrawal. The deadline is met if they are dispatched before it expires. The consumer bears the direct return cost and is liable for diminished value only insofar as it results from handling beyond what is necessary to check the goods’ characteristics and functioning.
  4. The seller refunds payments, including the least expensive standard delivery offered at purchase, within 14 days of receiving the withdrawal statement. The same payment method is used unless the consumer expressly agrees to another method without cost. For returned goods, the seller may withhold reimbursement until receiving the goods or evidence of dispatch, whichever occurs first.

E-books — digital content supplied without a physical medium

  1. As a rule, consumers may withdraw from an e-book supply contract without giving a reason within 14 days of its conclusion, subject to the conditions below.
  2. Czytivo supplies e-books after payment confirmation, before that period ends. This requires the customer’s separate, express consent to early delivery and acknowledgement that the right to withdraw without giving a reason will be lost once the service has been performed. The customer gives this statement before ordering by actively selecting a checkbox in the checkout; it is not selected by default. Without this statement, an order for immediate e-book delivery will not be accepted.
  3. The seller emails confirmation of the contract, its terms, the consent given and information about the loss of the right to withdraw. This confirmation is provided on a durable medium no later than when the digital content is supplied.
  4. An e-book is supplied when the content, or a working means of accessing and downloading it to the customer’s device, is made available. If the purchase includes EPUB and PDF, the seller provides access to both. A debit to an account, payment confirmation or a non-working link does not itself constitute delivery.
  5. After delivery and fulfilment of all the conditions above, the customer loses the right to withdraw from the contract for that e-book without giving a reason, under Article 38(1)(13) of the Polish Consumer Rights Act. It is not necessary to have read the book. Placing an order, paying or accepting the terms alone does not remove this right. Before delivery, the customer may withdraw within the statutory period. This exception does not apply if the required consent, information or confirmation is missing.
  6. These rules do not exclude complaints or statutory remedies for failure to supply content or lack of conformity, including a price reduction or withdrawal where the law provides. They also apply to individual business owners where the contract qualifies for the protection under Article 7aa of the Polish Consumer Rights Act.
  7. In an order containing both an e-book and physical goods, the consent concerns digital content only. It does not restrict the right to withdraw from the purchase of physical goods.

§ 8. Complaints

  1. The seller is responsible for conformity of products with the contract. In particular, Chapter 5a of the Polish Consumer Rights Act applies to goods and Chapter 5b to digital content.
  2. For goods, the seller is responsible for lack of conformity existing on delivery and revealed within two years, unless the law provides a longer period. A consumer may request repair or replacement. In statutory cases, including substantial non-conformity or unsuccessful restoration of conformity, they may request a price reduction or withdraw. The seller bears repair, replacement and collection costs for the goods complained about.
  3. For digital content supplied once, the seller is responsible for non-conformity existing on supply and revealed within two years. A consumer may require conformity to be restored and, in statutory cases, a price reduction or withdrawal. The seller provides updates necessary to maintain conformity for the scope and duration required by law and informs the customer of their availability.
  4. Complaints about products, accounts and other electronic services can be submitted to the seller, particularly by post or email using § 1 details. To assist handling, identify the product or service, the order, the problem, the requested remedy and contact details. Absence of a receipt, photograph or carrier report does not remove the right to complain.
  5. The seller responds to consumer complaints within 14 days of receipt on paper or another durable medium, including email. Failure to reply within that time means the complaint is accepted. Contact details are also on the Complaints page.

§ 9. Personal data

The seller is the data controller. The Privacy policy sets out purposes, legal bases, retention periods, recipients and customer rights. Marketing consent is not a condition of purchasing or using an account.

§ 10. Final provisions

  1. Polish law applies without depriving consumers of applicable mandatory protection under the law of their habitual residence.
  2. Consumers may seek assistance from municipal or district consumer ombudsmen and use alternative dispute resolution. Information on competent bodies and procedures is available at polubowne.uokik.gov.pl. Participation is voluntary unless otherwise required by law. Court jurisdiction is determined by applicable law.
  3. The terms accepted when ordering apply to that order. A new version does not alter previously concluded contracts or acquired rights.
  4. Changing an existing account’s terms requires informing the customer on a durable medium of the change, its reason and effective date, and obtaining acceptance, unless the change arises directly from mandatory law. Silence is not consent. The customer may close the account under § 2.
  5. The shop terms have applied since 8 October 2026, as subsequently updated. Nothing excludes or limits rights that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
